There’s something powerful about healing. But there’s also something sacred about the journey to healing. And far too often, once we’re whole again or at least walking stronger, taller, or bolder, we’re tempted to hide the parts of us that broke, bled, and bruised. But, my sister and brother, can I encourage you today? You are healed, but you are not meant to be hidden.
Healing Was Never Just for You
When Jesus healed the demon-possessed man in Luke 8, He didn’t tell him to go home and stay quiet. Instead, Jesus said, “Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.” (Luke 8:39, NKJV)
Your healing is a testimony, not just a gift for you, but a lifeline for someone else still in the storm. God didn’t bring you through to have you sit in silence. He brought you through so that someone else can see what victory looks like.
Broken Doesn’t Mean Useless
Maybe you’ve walked through a season of brokenness. Your story may still be raw. But don’t believe the lie that you no longer have value because you’ve been broken. Remember this: even broken crayons still color. A crayon doesn’t lose its ability to create beauty just because it’s no longer whole. And neither do you. Your cracks let the light shine through, and your scars are evidence that you survived. Your story, just as it is, can still bring hope, healing, and joy into someone else’s life; yes, someone else!!!
The Enemy Wants You Silent
The enemy wants your mouth closed, and your head bowed in shame. But Revelation 12:11 declares, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”
Yes, your blood saved you, but your testimony sets others free. Did you catch that? Don’t hide what God has healed because that part of your story, the pain, the struggle, the breakthrough, matters.
Purpose is Hidden in the Process
Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Even the seasons you want to forget have a purpose. Even the pieces you thought were too broken to use have been shaped into something beautiful by His hands. God never wastes a wound. He repurposes them for impact. WOW!!! You are not a mistake. You are a masterpiece in progress.
Someone Needs What You Carry
There is someone still trying to smile through her pain. Still asking God, “Can anything good come from this?” They don’t need a perfect example. They need anhonest one. Your story, even with the flaws and all, is the permission someone else needs to begin again. Guess what? You are proof that survival is possible, healing is real, and God still makes beauty from ashes.
Say It With Me:
- I am healed, and I will not hide.
- Though I’ve been broken, I still color with purpose.
- My life holds power.
- My voice carries weight.
- My presence brings hope to someone else’s blank page.
- I will not shrink.
- I will not silence my story.
- My healing is light. My story is ministry.
- And my scars? They are sacred. Yes, sacred!
Say This Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for meeting me in my broken places and reminding me that I still matter. Even when life tried to silence me, You gave me a voice. You have reminded me that I still have a purpose, even when I felt unusable. Please help me walk boldly in my healing and share my story with courage and compassion. Use every part of my past for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God doesn’t waste a wound. Wow. That is a profound statement. I have a lot of healing left to go, but I know the truths you’ve shared above are real. Sacred–this word came up in my therapy today. Thank you for sharing. 🩷
